Starchy vegetables

Since I'm pregnant I'm craving for my Filipino food especially vegetable stew. The last time we went to grocery I bought everything I need for my vegetable stew. I cooked it and loved it. It feels like heaven to eat vegetable again that I've grown with. Later on, I feel pain and bloated so much. I though I'm going to ER again, not knowing what I've done. I farted all night..hehehehe Then, in the morning I was reading a pregnancy book and went to the nutrition section and bumped into starchy vegetable I had last night. It says there in the book that I should not eat starchy vegetables for it will make me bloated more. From that moment I'm aware of what I'm eating and when I'm eating. To keep me and my baby healthy and make me more comfortable during this pregnancy.

pan de sal

Pan de Sal is a sweet Filipino dinner roll.
Back home every morning boys  go around houses with a box of pan de sal to sell. It's warm and smells good. It's like everyday breakfast for everyone with a cup of coffee.

Since I'm far from Philippines, I need to make my own pan de sal. Although it's not really the same thing, but it's better to have this than nothing. It's still sweet and tasty, but I don't know it's still not the same for me. Or maybe  I just simply miss home. *sigh*

Dates shake

Been craving for awhile for dates shake. My husband, took me to Tecopa, NV. There we found a Dates farm. They specialized dates shake. It's like 100miles from the house. They really have good tasty dates. It's called Chinese Ranch. It's in the middle of nowhere but it's he all worth the drive. Since then I keep eating dates but I peeled my dates. hehehehe I don't like the skin, it feels like plastic. My husband is so busy this days, so I need to find another option for my dates shake. My bought ordinary dates in the store and blend it with vanilla ice cream, milk to thin it out and drops of vanilla extract.. yum yum!!! It went well. It taste good and saves us time and gas. Will be making more later but still would love to go to Dates farm.

Smoothy

This is my smoothy. A thick beverage of fruit pureed in a blender with ice and a choice of milk, yogurt, or juice.
This one is mixed of tropical fruits like mango, papaya, pineapple and I also added lots of berries like strawberry, blueberry, black and red berries. This is a good source of antioxidant.
This will keep us healthy, young and sexy. Happy smoothy everyone!

Cappuccino

Love coffee so much. It's been awhile since I haven't gone to starbucks. Couple of weeks maybe. So want to have drink my favorite cappuccino. I told my husband about it and he told me to make my own instead of spending $5 for a cup of coffee. His right. So, I look in the internet on how to make "Cappuccino". It's overwhelming result. I'm so lucky because I have everything I need. The espresso machine.
Since, I don't know how to operate it. I ask my husband to show it to me. He made the espresso, but sad to say he forgot how to use the milk part to make it bubble. I end up looking for alternative. Our magic bullet catches my eyes, when I look into their menu booklet I found out they have instruction on how to make cappuccino using just magic bullet. So I did and it taste like cappuccino from coffee shop. The only difference is that I made a mess!!!
